Bio
Who We Are
Girl Drink Drunks are a who's who of veterans from the Portland, Oregon underground garage-punk and hardcore scenes. Formed in 2016, they channel decades of collective experience into short, aggressive, sub-two-minute blasts of snotty, lo-fi budget rock.
Their debut self-titled LP came out in 2017 on Garbage Barge Records. The follow-up, After 9pm, dropped in 2023 on Sonic Jett Records — 13 tracks of transparent yellow vinyl fury. In 2026 they crossed the Atlantic for a run of French shows showing off their newest EP Meal Deal: five songs on opaque orange 7" vinyl.
The members collectively boast ties to The Flip-Tops, The Minds, Jetpack, Piss Test, The Hot LZs, The Lovesores, Gun Party, and White Night — and they bring all of it to bear every time they plug in.

A legendary figure in the Pacific Northwest garage-punk universe — premier howler, founder of Sonic Jett Records, and veteran of The Flip-Tops, The Minds, and Jetpack.
Guitar / lead / rhythm
Adam Kattau
A regular mainstay in the Portland punk scene who shapes the band's blistering, raw instrumental attack. He comes from Love Source, the Sinks and The Fast Takers
Drums
Rodrigo Diaz
A veteran musician who starred in prominent Portland punk bands, like Piss Test, The Cuntifiers, Gun Party and Therapists. Brings an intense, fast-tempo hardcore edge to the rhythm section.
Guitar / lead / Rhythm
Matt "Wet" Waters
Known for his powerful, tight rhythm work. Joined the band from the heavy-hitting Portland group The Hot LZs and The Fast Takers.
Bass
Jon byford
A crucial member of the band's driving rhythm and guitar unit, also from the lineup of The Hot LZs, Denizenz, Gun Party and The Money Changers.
Guitar (early lineup)
Kevin Carle
A contributor to the band's earlier lineup and studio recordings. Also played with the San Pedro's band White Night and Killer Dreamer.
